I have a 44 gallon corner tank I am setting up and think I have an idea of what I want. Let me know what you think and if anything is wrong.

1-2 butterfly fish
2-3 angelfish
5-6 jumbo cardinals or neons
1-2 dwarf gourami or blue gourami
2 rams (if I can find them)
kulhi loach (not sure what a good amount of them would be)

Any suggestions would be appreciated
thanks

I forgot to add that I have soft well water, that is just how it comes out. SO let me know anything that would also do good in that water.
thanks

if you mean african butterfly fish then your neons may become lunch

that maybe the fish I am talking about. They are brown and stay close to the top of the tank. They also seem like they have some kind of spikes on them.

is this the one? if so they dont do much and feeding them is sometimes only live food

yeah that is the fish I am thinking about. I will probably not get them if they do not get along with the others.

well they should get along with your fish buut like jonahonah they don't do much but si at the top of the tank and eat.. i had some in te past but they do tend to jump so keep the tank covered and i a able t get them off live but i did what you do with every fish starve an ween them into the food

If I forget about the butterfly fish does the rest sound like would be ok in there together. Also if I did not get the angels is there another center piece fish that is bigger that would fit.

if your getting Kuhli loaches they do better in groups ...i have heard 5+ i have about 6 in my 55G tank but i barely see the little buggers...

but yeha sounds like a nice set up
maybe instead of rams you might wanna consider Apistogramma cacatuoides.
....one of my favs ...jst trying to spread the addiction..LOL

nothing against rams jst love apistogrammas....
