The filters are new. They are not refurbed.
The filters come with everything you need to get it up and running. This includes the sponge and other media.
The deal does work on other objects. You replace the first two digits of the item number with CK or YL to find the lower price. A lower price does not always exist.
When you checkout F&S will sometimes say the price is normal. However, when you check your cart it is a nice and low price.
Petsmart does not have to match this price, but if you ask nicely, they might. (I prefer to buy online because this is F&S's deal not Petsmart, and I want to be able to price match at Petsmart at a later date.)
I bought Seven.
These are good HOB filters. However, quality control on the factory level isn't that great. They might come with a few scuffs and or a leaky siphon tube.
If the filter is loud, you probably just have a siphon tube sucking air.
Foster and Smith or Petsmart will be happy to replace the siphon tube. Or you can just use a little silicone.
And I want to be able to continue to price match in the future.
