Lookin good. In regards to reducing the flow...I pulled the info below directly from Reeflo's website...not sure if you already knew this, but there is no harm in restricting flow with the ball valve and it actually reduces the wattage draw of the pump.

If your pump is producing too much flow

valve on the discharge line. Never restrict the inlet!!! Surprisingly, this will make the motor work
