Do you guys think a 450 gallon tank is ok to put on the second floor of my house or is it way to much weight ?
very true, what size the floor joists are, what the spacing is, and also is it in a place that you would be able to add some structural bracing??? if its on the second floor and you can add a couple vertical braces, just remmember that ur gonna have to transfer the load from second floor to first, then first to the basement, also depends on which direction the floor joists run in relation to which way the tank sits on themradioaktiv;2071044; said:it depends on how your house is made

I had a 55 g only fail upstairs cost between 5-8 grand to fix because insurance only covered part of it. Yea I agree we need an achitect!
