Hi all, need some advice on compatablity
I plan a 450 (UK) 540 (US) gallon tank next year and plan to stock it with

1 Polypterus ornatipinnis
1 Oxyeleotris marmorata (marbled goby)
1 Astronotus ocellatus
1 Hypostomus plecostomus.
1 Sorubim lima

would it be possible to keep 1 or more Pbass in with them ?
Which of the Pbasss has vertical barring ?
What other fish would you recomend to go in with the above existing stock ?

Thanks in anticipation

Keeping in mind that a P-bass will eat anything that fits in its mouth they are not very aggressive and will cohabit with most larger fish just fine. Monos have vertical bars and would be the easiest to obtain Azul's also have a vertical bar but are hard to get and I am sure there are others I am missing

Good luck sounds like an awesome tank with a very expensive food bill

You could get a couple pbass in there and ocellaris/mono. both have vertical bars.

As for fish to go with, arrowana? rays?

A little off topic, but.... is the tank glass or acrylic? If it's acrylic, I would worry about the pleco scratching it.

that would work fine from what I can see.

you could definately fit a few peacock bass in there. Most peacocks have vertical bars. The bars on Ocellaris often fade as they get bigger. Also sometime temensis do not have distinct vertical bars.
