oh I can only imagine! that's why when I remodeled my house, I had that tank in mind. it's in my sunken family room which I put wood look alike tiles, so water wouldn't ruin it.
Water will ruin everything. It ruined my wood floors, carpet and cracked my tile. It's amazing how water can do this. Don't think your safe with tiles, they crack, ask my insurance.
When i remodeled i had plans of a huge tank as well. Beefed up my floor and sealed the flooring twice. Tile was sealed too... The exact area the tank was to be is what got flooded. The damage was about 7yrs after the remodel... Let's just say I was shocked to see the results of the damage even when i shop vacuumed the hot water burst.
