475 gallon (Asain aro , 10 x severums , flagtail ,10 x denison barbs)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow, I wonder, how a tank that size can be delivered??? ("America, the country of the possibilities" - a German saying :))
My 3-m-tank 1.400 l (370 gallon) was build on its final place. It was hard enough to transport the glasses, it needed 3 men to carry the big panes two floors downstairs!
I am very impressed abaut your project and wish you much success.

Thx for the kind words :) I'm actually from dubai but yeah its a hassle to be delivered lol

its 31" wide that should be fine for the aro but 2 foot won't be your right

Doesn't look 31"

How wide is it at the point of the overflow box

Why did the store but gravel and decor in before shipping that's crazy

Imo, you will need to upgrade the width of your tank some day for any breed of Asian aro even at 31". Unless you skip many meals. It should last a while though. I do agree, it doesn't look 31", but pics can be tricky, gd luck

Yeah i know haha...From the overflow box i think its around 26 inches something like that..The aro will usually turn from the ends of both sides anyways and yeah it is 31" they measured everything in front of me(I wouldn't go all out on making the tank 10ft for the aro but make it 2 feet wide makes no sense)..Both ways I'm going to get an indoor pond in around 2-3years so if i get a lucky with a huge asian aro ill put it in the pond but i doubt it wont be enough ..I know they can get to 3 feet but they usually end up around 2 feet from what i see here( Public aquariums/large indoor ponds usually)

Ten severums seems like a lot. But really cool tank, I think you made the right choice pulling out the gravel and going with sand. I think the rocks look kind of cool, especially in the third picture and thinking about them when they get some algae growth going. I'm with everyone else though, they do take a lot of space. I'd probably go smaller scale with them and instead of one large mould do single rocks and glue those together so at least it would look more realistic and the spaces between the rocks could serve as hiding places or whatever.

When do you get it delivered?
