48" lights on a 72" tank

I don't see a problem with it, especially if you're keeping low-light loving fish.

i have a 4ft light on my 7ft tank. yes, there are dark areas but i like the way it looks. i dont like super bright tanks. btw, this is only one T5 bulb

man, I know I've said it before, but your tank is just badass.

You could try fitting two separate 48" lights side by side and have them overlap in the middle.
