I've had my tank running for about four months now and have about four different fish in the tank right now. I have one fluval 405, one fluval 305, one power head 50, and one 80gal foam filter running in the tank but still its cloudy one day after a water change of 50%. Inside each of the fluvals I have four carbon and one nitro-zorm, and other filter media in the top two baskets. Also, I'm wondering if the live feeding of rosy reds, night crawlers, super worms, frozen bloodworm, beef heart, and brime shrimp daily could be effecting my tanks clearity. My tank is 114gal 48x23x24 and there is one Australian pearl arowana, female costa rico dovii, male jaguar cichlid, and one wolf fish. I use a mixed substrate of small and bigger sized rocks and need some advice.

4 bumps is irritating. It sounds like your probably overfeeding, and your filters are set up wrong. Ditch the carbon and get biomax and foam pads.

check your ammonia and nitrite levels. a cloudy tank that occurs suddenly is usually an indicator of an ammonia or nitrite problem.

generally, a cloudy tank will often, but not always also test a readable level of ammonia or nitrite.

if detected, cut back on your feeding, do an extra water change, and neutralize the ammo/nitrite with a conditioner (like seachem Prime)

how much of the high protein stuff are you feeding? is the tank generally cloudy or only after this recent water change?

also, how large are the fish?
