But if you're a criminal facing a lifetime in prison, why wait?

Yep. Old news. No world-record snake there. Big but only like 27-something feet, if I recall. I distinctly remember sometime last year shattering some young noob's dreams as he fervently believed that this monster was actually really 49 ft long.
