everyone seems to be saying differnt things.
but yes as i said i would upgrade the tank when the upgrade is needed
so its not like im going to shove 2 adult texas in that tank

Don't really see how you can consider fishes that can get more than 10"+ medium size. Now I understand if they max out around 6-8" than maybe yes.



It all boils down to personal preferences, some people like fishes with humps(me) and some just like the more stream line look. If you're going to upgrade like you said than just grab whatever you like most and grow them out.

thought i would update,
got a 2.5" baby blue texas (carpinte)
i will let it grow out abit before posting some pics and trying to guess its gender =)

Don't get much more fishes or any other large or medium fish....A Texas in a 55G is already the limit.

yup i know. he is by himself. hes really colourful for such a small fish!
im hoping he is male! as he is also called Imhotep
