You can feed him crickets, meal worms, earth worms, and craw fish if you like to see him eat live. I think the craw fish bring the reds/oranges out, but I'm not sure. Have not had a oscar in 5+ years :O.....

oh thanks, for giving me that link, i needa get those kinds. I've got a different type i think it was Cichlid Gold. hahas But i've been feeding it those pellets and the colors seem much brighter then before......
