4mo silver aro growth!!

Got an 8" silver aro 4 months ago. His diet is superworms, rainbow trout fillets, yellow perch fllets, hikari carn sticks, topfin aro sticks, freeze dried red shrimp, and the odd grasshopper. He eats EVERYTHING!! Now he's almost pushin' 2ft! Goes to show how fast they can truly grow!

So how old do you think he is?? I bought mine around 8" inches approximately 1 month ago, he's pushing 10 inches right now. I am guessing he's around 6 months old???...

sorry but i find it very had to believe 8 to 24 in 4 months still a nice aro tho

16 /4 = 4 4/4=1 inch a week ....

no foolin'.... he was a year old when I got him at 8" (from a 55g). It's the same fish. I have posted some threads of him in between the 4mo period, but these pics show the huge difference at the 4mo mark. He's very spoiled and fed 3x a day. An inch a week is not very far fetched. Have you ever watched a monitor lizard grow? They're not called monsters for nuttin. I can show many pics of him throughout the last 4 months, but those show the best difference. He eats 200 gutloaded superworms ontop of his other foods every week.

BTW, I said he's almost pushin' 2ft, he's about 22" now.

You've changed your story previously you stated that he was 10" when you got him.

Looks to be closer to 20-21" right now, still a very quick growth rate and much more realistic.

Where do you find topfin aro sticks? Topfin is petsmart branded fish supplies. I visit around 30 petsmarts every month for work and I've yet to find topfin aro sticks anywhere?

he was under 10" when I got him. It's been by eye, so not completely accurate. pics show the growth and thats what I wanted to show.

Awesome... Mine's in a growth sprout right now, he has been getting around 1 3/4 - 2" a month, it's only been two months since I got him, and he obviously grew larger . Of course only my friends saw the difference since I see him everyday.

sorry, I made a typo. Nutrafin Max predator sticks (sold at petsmart). My NGT dat loves them too, as do my fronts. Sticks are bigger than hikaris, but also make a bigger mess if not swallowed.
