you are really funny:ROFL:.cant you read my words?:confused:
It's just a test to CURE the drop eyes, it's not PREVENT,
to prevent you have to control many things, proportionate up and under water light, right water level, good feeding habit and etc.
but if the drop eye HAPPENS, wrap the tank is a proposal to solve this, also, you can take a small operation on your aro to remove the fat in the up eyeline . it's been proved a practical operation already:screwy:

no.. drop eyes CAN be prevented. it is very complex and depends on many things, tank is not lake, you cant compare them this way. water level is only an aspect, the light and feeding also. you have to controll everything with care and there are many tricks.
OVERLY high water level is bad to aro especially NEW aro.
drop eyes CAN be cured if not very serious, we did that test before, wrap the tank with black paper or something that light can not penetrate all over.make the tank completely dark, after about half a year or longer, the drop eyes are cured, but if the water, light and other aspects are not improved, drop eyes will relapse in several months after the wraps been removed.

wow it takes 6 months or longer to cure DE? how about operating on the eye? does that method make it so DE won't come back?
