For those still following along should I add more trim detail or just leave it and paint?

Canopy is getting put together this week throwing the apex on it and calling this one done. Then back to the 7x12 build for those waiting on that.

Think the trim looks good, but on a different note, I see some very experienced people on this thread and was wondering if I can get sum advice. I'm starting final plans on my biggie tank, it will be 72" long 40" wide and 30" tall, was wondering if 15mm glass will be thick enough, really don't want this thing to break! Haha.

I am with you on that. I am ok with acrylic but can't give an answer for a glass tank. Post up a new thread here in the diy tank area. I am sure you will get a ton of responses.

Tough crowd.
:ROFL:Sorry i wasn't around to critique your stand for you. ;) I think it looks great. I would throw some black paint on their and call it done. You may want to add some child proofing to it tho. Just think into the future.

Could you give us a little info on how you set up your sump. I see that you are using a rubbermaid tote. I was thinking about doing this also but didn't know how well it would work.

The sump is pretty basic right now. The tote is only temporary. Have a 40 breeder taking its place as soon as I can get the drain for the drip overflow drilled.

Both drains drop down through the top into a filter sock onto about 20 pounds of ceramic media. The bowing in the tote is from the ceramic media and not the water.

Both pumps are in the corners. Lines are are crossed for an easy hook up. 300 watt heater next to the pump intake. Will have 2 heaters once the 40 breeder is in there.

Drain for the drip right in the side of the tote.

Sump is a mess as I just had to fish out my little bass. 1 smart one and 3 not so smart ones that keep taking a ride in the overflow. Which is next on my punch list. Overflow covers.:banghead:
