Iam soooo annoyed...
Everyone knows i brought the redtailed catfish from another, with intentions of finding him a better home...

Well i had found a home which he was ment to go in three weeks time....

With that in mind i found a good deal,

so i went and brought them, well i got them home, added to tank, all went fine, before i fed redtail so much his belly was bursting, It all seemed to work, everyone getting on fine, Ive had a 5inch oscar now for just over two weeks....well around 1.30am redtail went mental trying to eat everything, would not give up,tried so hard to eat the ornate, so round 3am i caught him in a net, placed him in poly box, came in around at 7.00am was going to move fish around n place him in the three foot, however i was too late, he was dead, strange thing all the prawns id fed him were on the bottom of the box, after being in his belly for hours, very odd,,,, only in poly box four hours, people travel with them sometimes longer, i thought he would be ok, really annoyed at myself...

ok some new guy shots...

Where did you get that brycon from ?
and sorry to hear about him dieing he had thrown up his meal of prawns that leaves the water very high in aminioma (or how ever it is spelt).

and nice tank and fishes.

No, what iam mad at is me,,,,i found a home, but took him out and kept him in a poly box for a few hours which killed him...iam pee'd at myself,

Ya.. it happens... Sometimes u get a nice fish that you think it'll last.. next thing u know it dies.. and u can't do anything about it.. and u keep blaming yourself...

I've lost about 3 african arowana this way... i tried and tried again and again. .but it was either they didnt learn how to eat and starve to death.. or it was killed by other fish as a result of aggression..

Others had better luck than i did.. but it really is just timing and tank availability..

I wouldn't give up.. keep trying.. and make sure to have a nice grow out tank for it.... 10-30 gallon would be great.. until its big enough to go with the big boys..

Sorry for ur lost.. and dont give up!
