I dont know what those places are, were in NB (Canada) and we pretty much only have pet smart. I need a store that will ship online and will take into consideration duty fees and all that stuff
5 Gallon stocking ideas

In Nova scotia yes, but the borders are closed. I am limited to our province or online ordering
I would go with a betta, and just that. Shrimp too if your betta allows it. 5 Gallons is not much water at all so you want minimal stocking. Planted betta tanks are quite nice IMO
You could try local kijiji for fish or try local online FB pages for fish stock. I find sometimes you get good deals!
I also sell fish on those sites, they are good sites for people who are not running a business but need to offload extra fish or re-home unwanted fish.
also, may I suggest a larger tank? A 10 or even 20g tank would be easier to maintain...I hate my small 4g and 5g tanks they are the most difficult to maintain and I hate doing the maintenance on those two tanks more so than my 60 and 135g

I know I really didnt plan on this tank it was given to me. I dont like anything under 20 for this reason
I keep a beta and a about 10 small rasbora type of fish in my 5.5g With rams horns and one assassin snails. The rams horns were a non choice haha
