As mentioned above, be guided by your water parameters, if your reading creep up, you need to do bigger changes until they are down at the desired level, and remain there.
A single 8" jardini by itself in a 90....you just might be able to get away with a 5 gallon w/c per day. Just keep an eye on nitrate level.
