Hi My baby 5" jar has been curling up & then shooting/dashing off mid swim. its quite hard to describe...a few weeks back he was rubbing a around the gill area but this stopped after a salt treatment..but then today and yesterday i saw him doing this curl up thing and i thought he might be trying to pass some food or something but there's nothing showing. is it just normal?? or would there be a possible issue with parasites?

I know what you are talking about, it's when the Jar curls up either left or right then stretches straight really fast and looks like it's darting away. This is normal, mine does it sometimes as well.
Doesn't sound normal to me. Sounds like it could be a parasite if its darting and crashing and trying to maybe"scratch"itself.
also,what do you consider a salt treatment? Like one day you added salt and that was it?Give a little more info if possible.

ur fish is just shy
give it more time and see to that there is a little less traffic near ur tank for a few days at least till adjusts itself to the new environment
