No I think you have the perfect size tank to grow them out and get a pair in. give them time to settle in and theyll be all over again:) how long have you had the tank running and whats your water perameters? the current is good. also it seems to me that they are al trying to hide and seek refuge in the same spot. if they dont start becoming more social and active in a week or so maybe try to add a couple more spots to get away or remove the hiding spots in the slate. what are you feeding them?

Tank has been running 10 days. PH is 7.4, Ammonia is 0ppm, Nitrite is 0ppm, Nitrate is <10 ppm, GH is 6, and KH is 4.

Today I have noticed more activity, chasing each other and moving to different hiding spots. For the most part though, they stay in the slate rocks and near the bottom and the other hiding spots.

The first day I fed floating Hikara Cichlid Staple and they were eating it up. Yesterday no luck with the Hikari, so I tryed Dainichi sinking...since they were near the bottom. A little was eaten but not all tryed to eat. This morning same thing with the Dainichi...I am going to wait until later tonight and crush up the floating Hikari hoping some sinks to the bottom and see if that works.

I also tryed a mysis shrimp cube to no avail.

I don't mind the hiding or anything...i just want to make sure that they are eating. I turn the tank light off when I go to bed and maybe they are eating some off the bottom.
