I have a few of these in a tank. Really nice fish, although they dont tend to grow much more than 6" as far as I know.

Also I think they are known as talapia Mariae aswell??

Mine are aggressive, had 6 to start with, now have 5 and 2 have laid eggs already but been eaten. I suggest taking it and finding a female as this must be a male at this size.

Great active fish, nice colours when settled in tank, although mine are green bodied not red like on in the thread pictured.

My brother won't let me have the fish now... He's got the poor thing cramped in a 10 gallon tank.

He thinks it's "bad ass" when it attacks the glass.

I've got a 125 with plenty of room for him.
