Just posted this pic on Richards lil bill thread. This is one of the nicest pearls Ive seen....thick lines, almost as thick as lil bill, BUT also has the 'star' patterning.

Which if its wild caught throws off the similar traits we've noticed on 'star' pearls. If however it is captive bred, than I can see Richards pair producing pups that may end up like this.

Lil Bills girl friend is a dark star Pearl so hopefully!!!

Just to share some thin lining pearl. The lining is thin that the spotting are breaking up as well.

This is my friend's female pearl. She's 4 years old and measures now 45cm diameter (transversal). She is the proud mom of my young leo-pearl female. I think is one of the best looking pearls i have seen. She lives in Zaragoza-Spain, and we are almost sure that ours are the only big rays well kept in Spain, and the only bred in the country.

She's a real beauty Ernesto,shes another example of why i feel top quality Pearls and Marbles will soon over take their black cousins in the must have stakes!!....people are already starting to see further than black and white!For me the different base colours and intricate markings of top quality Pearls is what has and always will captivate me,now that black rays are readily available it will be interesting to see how the trend swings.....very interesting!.....most people want what they can't have,however once it becomes common place the desire for that animal,fish or object lessens!
