5' Tank Problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Get a few sets of glass moving suction cups, slowly slide the tank down the steps and stand it on it's end to negotiate the corners.

It makes all the difference in the world being able to get a good hold on something like this, the suction cups have handles on them and will be a great help.

Fly it in!

Thanks alot to all those who tried providing me solutions. Appreciate them. Thanks again!

Some rope or straps, then lower it down the steps as it slides.

my 220 is 400lbs dry according to the manufacturer.... and I can move it around my self so I still cant see how 5 cant move your tank.

I also suggest just sliding it down the stairs.

Take a picture, lets see this monster. Maybe the glass is insanely thick and it really is 600lbs.

This is the summary I got from http://boonedocks.net/fishtank/ftweb.php

I don't know. As I've mentioned the width is 1.5' and the height is 3.5' instead of what I said initially which was 2' width and 3'height.

I did a measurement as well. The glass IS 0.75".

[/FONT]So yea, maybe it is insanely thick then. I don't know, you guys see seem to deny the possibilty that a tank could be so heavy.

that is only 111lbs a person for 5 guys, so I still dont see the problem if you say you are all strong.

maybe try 6 guys? a guy on on every corner and 2 on either side in the middle...
