your tank will be big enought for a green aro or and gold type but to small for a red

red asian aros grow bigger than gold

general rule of thumb for asian arowanas are 7-8 ft by 2.5ft tanks that will indefinitely last for life...the height does not matter as much. i guess it cud reach full size in a 5 foot tank but it might start to get stressed out and jump a lot. dw u wont have to worry for a good 2-3 years though. maybe even longer...
