I wouldn't mix the two personally, Lelupi like very hard high pH water, while blue acara prefer the opposite, softer lower pH. The EBA are a manmade variant and are probably more adaptable to water conditions, but the Lelupi also like to live in a group, I don't think the acara would do well with the group of lelupi.
I would recommend you decide the direction you want to go- if you want Lelupi, I would get a group of them and some other compatible african fish, some more cichlids, perhaps some synodontis catfish.
If you like the acaras more, you could keep a pair of them in a 50 gallon, with some south american fish like tetras, small catfish, etc.
