Work
So, I had an empty 50 gallon tank kicking around, that needed to be resealed. After some research here, I used GE silicone I for the reseal and for the chambers.
I decided to go with four chambers: one for the water influent area, a small chamber for carbon, a chamber for bioballs and/or pot scrubbies, and the last area to house the pump. I left the two outside chambers large enough so there'd be room if I decided to add a chamber either way.
I decided to go with something like a water polisher by using pool filters on my influent. This should eliminate any fine particles that would've clogged my other media. I made it so the filters could be easily removed to be cleaned/replaced.
Some pictures.

Influent with pool filters. Note: the smaller filter will come into play as the larger one gets dirty.

How did you do your over flow?

Very nice setup, Clean looking, also wet/dry from what I have gathered, bio chamber gets wet and dry, on your setup looks like it is all wet like a true sump, cool filters, and very nice resiliconeing the tank, all in all I think it will work out very nice for you..

Thanks :)

I neglected to mention that there are a pair of air stones in the biochamber to help feed the oxygen requirements of the BB.

oh cool then, I seen one in there too lol but didn't even put 2 and 2 together, well cool very nice build then..i like the carbon chamber too
