Just get some grocery carts my 600 wasn't that bad when I moved it good luck on the stock though I would get a couple more pbass in there

Those cats might be ok in there for 5+ years. You would end up doing larger and large water changes over the years, and feeding them incredible amounts more as they get larger. I'm not sure of the growth rate for pbass, but if they can't keep up or outgrow something that has potential for 20+ inches it's first year, you might want to rethink your plan. I had about 5 oscars living with my 38" hybrid for about a year and a half. They were fine until he went on a hunger strike. I found out he was off the hunger strike when he ate the two largest 13" oscars one night. Didn't take but a few more weeks and there was only the smallest one left. Irony right? Now I'm not so sure I did those oscars a favor by rescuing them, besides giving them another healthy year of living and clearing up their desieses. BTW my hybrid was 38" after 4 years. By all standards it grew exceptionally fast when compared to others on this site. Unfortunately he's no longer with me.

nes999, You might try an appliance dolly with your moving your 500 gal. tank down the flight of stairs you mentioned. One of you at each end. If you have to rent one make sure it has a hand brake on it before you rent it. If you cant find an appliance dolly, get a regular hand truck with a hand brake on it. Having a hand brake on the dolly/hand truck, will make it easier to control the speed going down the stairs. I know this may sound far fetched to try and locate, but believe me, I moved a 250 gal. by myself down a couple flights of stairs and having the hand truck with the hand brake on it, made it 5 times easier for me as I controled the deceleration speed of the entire trip. I was truly amazed. My tank never suffered any repercussions from the move either. No leaks or cracks. If you can't find one of these appliance dollys or hand trucks, send me an e-mail. I'll try and remember what company I rented from when I did mine, and I'll recontact you on this thread. Good Luck w/your move.

i would get you and your brother to slide it down the stairs, and then have another two people at the bottom of the stairs to help lift it up.
