Love the tank!! Kickass!!! Do you have more details on the canopy setup you have? Looking at the one photo I am not understanding 100% what you have going on 100%. TIA!

What equipment you built into the hood. Those look like large heat sinks and am curious about what those are being used for.
For the sump, the water is pumped from a submersible pump behind the biggest rock, through PVC on top of the canopy and into 2 filter socks. The rest of the sump has 2 heaters and pot scrubbers. There are 4 2 inch drains back into the tank. It's a very simple setup and works well, easy to clean.
The heat sinks are the backs of the 3 20 watt led flood lights in the canopy. There's also a 4 foot t5 for UVB for the turtle and a dome light with a ceramic heat emitter.

gotta say this is one of the nicest plywood tank i have seen. nice and clean and looks like something you would want in your home.
