500 gallon fish tank

I found this listed on craigslist and told him to post it here. If this was for sale in about a year I would be all over this. Im going to be building a 24X20 extension onto my house for a fish room.

400 to 500 pounds

Wrong...... dry weight on this has to be closer to 800-1000. A 265 dry weight is 400. and that's only 7'x2'x2.5' so this tank should double that.

theres no way this is 800 pounds...six of us picked it up n carried it...at tops it might be six hund....i could be wrong...but cant believe 800..

My 500 weighs about 1K, so 800lbs of 1/2" glass is not unreasonable.

according to this an empty 180g tank weights 338lbs, so do the math. that things is easily 800lbs+. my 210g weights over 400lbs, so 800 or so for this is about right
