500 Gallon indoor pond build

I was on vacay for a while in Kaui...I finally got to snorkel and check out a reef in person. oh...plus i got married lol

I havent done much to the pond since then. I still need to finish the outside of the tank and work on a cover. But the fish are lovin it...

Hey just wanted to give heads up on getting rays from tfd. Pond looks great though! I have bought 4 retics from then none have ever made it! Everytime they have came in with fish lice I treated them the lice disapered but these rays will not eat I tried everything!!! SPent the diference between a 25 dollar retic AND 100 DOLLAR MOTORO ON FOOD! i HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH alot OF RAYS AND THESE ONES WERE THE BIGGESEST HEADACHE EVER!

lol wish i heard that before. mine didnt make it either..only had two. im going with motoro's when i buy.

I've got 2 tems, 1 ocell, two jaguars, pacu, oscars and a blue channel right now. i'll be adding to it soon....maybe a paroon shark? more pbass and cats??

Thanks man...I see you're in hawaii. What part? I tried to do some pbass fishing when I was there in Kauai. Not too many guides that do that tho...oh well. Hawaii is bad azz!

I put these pics in a different thread but i guess i shouldve added em here. This is one of my new additions to the pond. 6" peru motoro from tfdfish.com. I also got a tsn, rtc, and a ocellaris pbass-which looks alot different than mine. So im wondering what kind I have. I'll post more pics as soon as the new fish come out more. The rtc did not look good when i looked at him in the bag and is not doing good now. I'll call them and see what they say about that. Other than that, the fish are all lookin good.

Hi KLee79, very important question I need to ask you. Any problems with your Pacu biting on exposed wires, pond liners, plants etc Please feedback as I need to decide whether or not to add my Pacu to my indoor pond.

no i havent seen any issues with the pacu yet...never seen him bite at anything but food.

I spend a lot of time watching their behavior. Its interesting watching the ray get used to his new envrionment.
