500 gallon reef tank cube

8 my cash i have 1 more question...I am Beginning a new tank setup, my first saltwater.. its only a 55 gallon and i have some filter options AKA canister, wet/dry, etc... Could you Tell me what you think the best deal would be for the 55 G setup for a Lionfish? Thank you very much..-josh

emperors. i think i also have extra magnum 350's and a fluval 404 and i
think a fluval 204. i also have 2 wet/drys. theres so much stuff i really
dont even know what i have for heaters and decor. i do know that there
are heaters for all the setups and i have enough filteration for each
tank and more. all of the tanks are glass, and are almost new (the 55s
are like 4months old) .."

It really depends on what kind of saltwater tank you want to run. fish only, reef, fish and live rock. The last two tanks you would want to use a refugium. Fish only tanks you can use a wetdry. Wetdry filters in a reef tank will cause nothing but nitrates. Reef tanks will cost more lights, rock ect.. The best deal would be ebay, craigs list, reefcentral ect.. Buy a tank already set up.

here is my favorite golby, his name is george..my son named him:) Golbies are camera shy, will try to get some pics. To give you an idea how big the tank is, here is a pic with me and the tank when I first got it.

But in my tank i want Live Rock and a Lionfish(Radiata to be specific). I dont really care about anything else..any other pointers for me now?

then go for a wet dry, my black volitin got 14 inches before I had to get rid of him. He kept eating small angels and at $40.00-$70.00 per fish :eek: He is in a 800 gallon fish only tank.
 
500 , and now i hear 8-0-0? Where are those pictures? i Love lionfish, and cant wait to see any and all pics of them.
