50g for a flowerhorn?

Well if you want to keep a Flowerhorn in a 50 gal. for life, you should get a SB (shortbody) Flowerhorn. Or else go with a 75 gal.
 
whoa thats cool i never knew there was short bodied flowerhorns. if i was to purchase a baby SB flowerhorn would it be easily to tell if its a SB FH? if so, how would i be able to know?

You will know when you see one. Its pretty self-explanatory.
They look ugly IMO. Their SB look "AS IF" they're deformed.
They sort've remind me of the parrotfish, if you're into that.
 
seems sad to me for a fish that big to only be able to go within 4 feet its entire life.I know they are teritoriol but dang.I used to just do that stuff when i was younger because i didnt think of the big picture but now i see how they pay atention to you and stuff and im like,what the hell am i making you live in.Oh well,good luck.What goes around comes around.Get some firemouths or gold sevs or something.

yea, i wouldn't want a unhappy FH i just started this thread to get some info on FH's because i really like how they look and they interest me. ill probably still turn the 50gl into a convict breeding tank or maybe a African cichlid community tank, in till i can save up for a 75gl or maybe even bigger.

i like those guys too but i have an empty 125 i was wanting some in but i dont want just one fish and they can kick some butt.So im gonna do fms and sevs with dithers,i think.good luck though,didnt want to sount rude if i did.
