52 Fish in just a few hours

Plus this lake is small. and they stocked 3200!!!!!!!! So we were pulling them in all day. 52 is no exageration at all. with a 9 year old, 10 and 12 year old. They kept a competition for most fish caught. We added them all up and 52 was it!!!

Nice Rainbow!!!! I hope I have 1/2 the catch you guys got, openning day here in New Jersey is Saturday, It's so crowded everywhere, you gotta claim your "spot" 2 hours before the openning time of 8am!! Last year my friend and his son followed me to a good spot I found, I said lets get there real early, we pull up 1 hour early and there is a dozen guys there!!!!

They stocked a small lake in my area with 3200 rainbows so I took my two younger brothers and my younger sister and we caught 52 fish in about 4 hours. It was AWESOME. Largest was about 15 inches. Not that big of trout but it was a blast.

Occasionally we would accidently kill one of the little guys and when we did there were two bald eagles that would swoop down and pick off the wounded fish.

It was a GREAT DAY!!!

i have also noticed that the stocked fish in washington look to be really bright this year. i was just up at our cabin last weekend and the stocked trout looked way better than i have ever seen before

The stock count was in the local paper......and to be honest its a small lake that my brother lives on and there are so many other more popular lakes with larger trout in them not to many people fish the lake. Most people want bigger trout, well I just wanted to give my younger siblings a great day fishing and it was great. We did catch a 14 incher so that was cool.

You know these trout were beautiful...In fact I was just out there yesterday and we caught about 6 or 8. Beautiful fish. I've fished a couple of the other lakes that were stocked with the larger triploids and they are just not quite up to par and very week fish as well.

I got a video of the eagles on my Father in Laws camera. he lives in hawaii so I'll have to see if he can send it to me and I'll post it.

It does it no real justice but its still cool.

Having the eagle so close you can hear the wind rip through its wings as it cocks the wings back while swooping for the fish, and seeing him open his tallons wide. AWESOME!!!!!!

Just did the math...

at 52 fish every 4 hours it would take you only alittle bit over 10 days to snag the entire stock!
