  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have 2 in my living room, only one of them is a vegetarian!?!?!?

One fights the oscar (and usually wins) for all the fish meat, shrimp and assorted things like that while the other begs for another carrot.

pet pacu's eat anything & everything!

didn't know they are good eating fish! I heard long ago, Fla were breeding oscars for eating.

any other pet fish also used for human consumption?

My uncle used to live down in South America as a photographer and said Piranha are pretty tasty.

ID sharks and Giant gouramis are common food fish in their native lands. PBass too.

WOW! Poor pacus.... :(

I had a video of a 14" Pacu caught on a Cleveland fishing pier in Lake Erie last July 15th or so. The fisherman first thought it was a Piranna... Can't find it now. Used to be here http://www.fox8.com/videobeta/watch/?wa ... &src=front It was accurately Identified by an employee of the Cleveland Zoo as a Pacu. Looks like the Asian Carp will be more of a threat to my favorite fishing lake though.
