523 gallon plywood build (pic heavy)

pretty awesome dude. how much surface area do you need to adhear the viewing panel in place?

Today went ahead and got the filter hooked up while playing the waiting game. Using 2 strilite 5 drawer towers for bio wet/dry, they will be partially submerged for a true wet/dry, inside they are packed with packing peanuts.... I've had great success using them in the past, huge surface area and you can pack a ton in a small space. The top drawer holds micron filter pads, the second drawer holds carbon and purigen followed by the 3 big drawers packed with the peanuts. All I did was drill holes in the bottom of the top 2 drawers making a drip plate....lots of holes. For the 3 big drawers I just dut the bottom out of each drawr to make 1 big open space with the bottom drawer I left a lip around the bottom edge and put eggcrate in to hold the peanuts in place. Its powered by an Iwaki RLT100 going up through 2 1" returns and coming back through 2 2" drains 1 each feeding each one of the bio towers. For the closed loop I am using a Quiet one 4000 going through a Lifegard triple mech micron filter to add some flow across the bottom of the tank. I guess now all I can do is wait....21 days seems like a long, long time after 6 months of planning and building!

Anyone have any input on the proper wait time for the Dow 795 to cure? 21 days seems like a lot, but I am willing to wait it out to be safe if that's what is needed. I read that 10-14 days to fully cure and 21 days for full "adhesion" I'm not sure what the difference is as in my mind if it is fully cured what more can it do after that?

I noticed that you have a house waste drain close by to your plumbing. Are you going to tap into that for your water changes? That way it's as easy as opening a valve to drain water and fill it from a supply line somewhere.

Yea, I am going to run a 1gph to start then ramp it up to a 2gph drip system to avoid water changes all together, Having that drain so close is really nice :)

Finished up today, added the skimmer box and put up some drywall around the top of the tank, just need to put a latex paint on the drywall. Also I bought a metal strip to put across the center as a center brace but I'm curious, with a tank this solid (I can't budge this a mm with all my might) do you think I should use it? Only reason I am considering not using it is basically an inconvenience with trying to access the tank with cleaning and whatnot. Also still curious to know peoples experiences with Dow 795 cure times. BTW thank you guys for all your comments, it's nice to know there's support out there :) next pics will be of the test fill whenever that may be able to happen.
