I just wanted to say I started a new thread over in the CA forum, I am looking more in that direction now I think.
Of coarse I may end up going the bichir route too, just going through thoughts right now, but I really like them!

This tank would not be big enough for Jag's would it??

Fraid not, i think jaguar cichlids can grow up to 16inches long, so too big for a tank that is only 12inches wide- it would be best to stick to fish which grow to 8inches or less .
