55 Gallon Idea

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Cool.

I just realized I spelled "there" the wrong way. lol

I'd go African. It would be pretty killer.

edit: is the tank 36x20x18, or something similar?

I was thinking that's what would happen. The tank is 20" wide, so a 13" bichir would still be able to maneuver fairly easily. The SA idea should work pretty well though. I have time to evaluate things.
I was thinking a standard 55, in this case either choice would work.

I just did some measurements. It's 13" wide and 17-18" tall. I can always leave out the bichir and go with something else.

go with native. i went natvie collecting and found some good stuff today. 2 berried crays, a monster 4" + cray and a bounch of darters. telling ya go native.
but i put all mine back. dont have extra room right now

I might depending on what I can find in the Rappahannock River or surrounding areas. Most of the fish around here are fairly large. No colorful darters either.

Go South American and go with the Apistos! But the african tank is awesome as well! Maybe just buy another tank and do both!

That's what I'm starting to lean towards. Plus, how many people on here have centipede knives? This is the only one I've ever seen in a shop, and it's really healthy! I'm thinking Apistogramma viejita for the apistos. I just have to find a place to order them from.

I like choice one!
