Right now I have a 55 gallon in the process of being set up. Dimensions are 48¼ x 12¾ x 21 (L*W*H), filtration is an Eheim 350 Classic canister filter. I'm staying freshwater with this one, so the main two criteria I'm looking at are either a sort of mini monster or a semi-aggressive/aggressive community. Any suggestions?

A bunch of stream caught green sunfish, madtoms and a lone marbled convict with a bunch of wild caught dithers.

The width is a little tight on that, maybe exodons would tickle your fancy?

Many kinds of smaller cichlids could work as pairs or species only.i dont think mixing too many would work long term.maybe:kribensis,rams,convicts,HRP,panamesis.a few swordtails or some small schoolers

What do u have native in your area FishTanksOfCO FishTanksOfCO
Largemouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, carp, hybrid striped bass. On a side note, thank you for all of the suggestions! I'll definitely consider them.

Any non-cichlid suggestions besides the ones you mentioned here? I'm also looking to stock a 60 gallon tank. Dimensions: 12.75 in L x 48.5 in W x 25 in H
