55 Gallon lost a fish need opinion!!!

Hey all
This morning I lost my Firemouth to what looks like a normal death, he seemed fine until he died.

But anyways I now have
1x GT
1x Convict
1x Senegal

and was wondering if I should try something a little different and Blood Parrots came to mind, how would they do with my other fish? The tank is a standard 55 gallon, 2 power filters (aquaclear 50 and whisper 60), also if any other ideas come to mind on fish please post aswell

imo bps are ugly fish. id go with something else. if you liked the firemouth try another maybe you have better luck this time. salvini is a good choice as well.

iff your not upgrading leave the tank as it is, maybe go for another Poly

poor little guy i'd try a smaller pike cichlid mabye a salvini or a jack dempsey if your doing cichlids if not then mabye anouther poly or some catfish depends what you wan't

Would a pike work with the fish I have in there now?? What species would go? I would do another Poly, but I only ever see senegals and ther are 40 bucks. I have been looking for salvinis for some time and they dont have any anywhere here, same with pikes.

I was thinking of a firemouth but this one was the largest fish in the tank but it just hid all day.

I kind of like the look of the BP.

Any other requests would be appreciated too

I was thinking of similar combination for my 60 gallon, I just ended up with one GT though. But others I thought of too were Convict, Firemouth, JD, Texas and probably my 2nd choice, jewel cichlids. Adding those red jewels gives nice color to the tank. Personally I am not a fan of the mixed breed type fish.

no dont to jacks to big.... salvinis could work but your going to get hybrids
