I've been using the DNR website to decide on fish since I got this idea. I don't doubt that they get that big. I'm just saying that the biggest ones I've ever seen have been tiny. No one fishes for them in my lake; they're considered garbage fish, so it's entirely possible that they're down at the bottom and I've just never seen a larger bullhead. Like I said, it's possible that we just have madtoms in my lake and everyone just calls them bullheads. When I looked at pictures, the baby bullheads and adult madtoms look the same to me, so I would probably have to catch one and compare the pictures to see which it is. Once I do this, I'll keep you posted as to what they are. Joe, I don't want to say where exactly I am, but I live on a small (less than 1 mile long) sandy, weedy lake in northeastern Minnesota.
