55 gallon need some ideas

im getting a 55 gallon for free current residents are 2 plecos and 2 white corys.

i plan on adding a brown knife fish and a number of red pacus i am not sure if it gets along with .

any other suggestions are welcome bottom feeders to swimmers natives or tropicals fresh waters only...

i was think about mabey some schooling fish small ones any way convince me or change my mind

all those fish should be fine together just keep an eye on the brown ghost and make sure you feed him well

dont add pacus unless u have a huge pond to put them in they grow super fast and a 55 isnt even big enough for one pls dont buy the pacus

dont worry i got to eventually make a pond or buy big tank for a tiger cat and another for a snapping turtle so size dont matter as of now

Eventually doesn't work, 98.789% of the time people never upgrade because of whatever issue. THe pacu will outgrow that tank in less than a year, and need atleast a 180 or better 220 by atleast Jan. if not sooner...hope your prepared for that kind of comitment....if not, no pacu...end of story.

Yeah its a hassle, plus pacus are ugly.

I'm about to graduate my mixed CA/SA cichlid tank from my 55 gallon and I was thinking of using the tank to breed firemouths. For your tank acaras, severums, or angels would probably be ok too. You might be able to get a polypterus as well depending on the size of the corys.

im looking into making a pool into a pond at the end of summer. because pools are cheaper at that time. But, im 99.8% positive im going to get a big ole pool 600+ gallons
