maybe some salvinis

If you will raise them as babies start on the 75 gallon and then in about 4 months get ready to invest in a 150 gallon... If i were you I would wait a little more time and just get a bigger tank. I bought my 180 gallon with lights hood and stand and filters for $150... the guy was anxious to get rid of it...

wow thats cheap thats awesome.... i mean i get paid in a couple days anyways, how much would it cost to buy a top with light, filter, and heater and stuff for the 75?

well i want to buy a couple silver arrows maybe an oscar, florida gar, all babies so i can raise them myself i wanted to buy a sting ray, but not in a 55....75 is pushing it even for a ray. I just eventually am goign to get a large tank like 100 or so. But for right now, just want a sweet new tank.
like everyone has said .. 100 gal is not really a large tank when your talking about monsters like these ..

i have 150 gal tank and it is home to my 2 O's and my knife fish .. but even my 150 could not house a silver arrowana, florida gar, or any ray out there. Even as baby fish rays and the silver would out grow the 100 in a matter of a few months .. and the 55gal would have a problem with 2 O's with no other tank mates after a year or so.

I am planing a tank that will house 2 rays, 2-3 Pbass, and 1 arrowana and its going to be 300+ galions .. and it MIGHT house the fish for life .. but the rays will more then likely need a larger tank at some point.

we just hate to see people get fish with a plan to get more/bigger tanks and then someting happends and they cannot house the fish and the fish suffer for it. I would say wait untill you have the room for the giants then get them. not the other way around

your best bet is to check craigslist, ebay, and the classifieds on here. no need to impulsively buy though, remember you still need to cycle anyways.
