55 gallon poly tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm planning on moving the Oscar and/or SDs when my little polys aren't a risk of getting eaten by my bigger Palmas anymore. Especially the SDs....they're actually worse than my Oscar in feeding. The only fish I don't have another tank for is the BGK once it hits adult size. Of course...there's always a possibility of getting another/bigger tank but for now I would rather plan with what I currently have. :D

6 is fine. You could probably add a few more as well.

Awesome, thanks again! Haha very tempting to get more. I've been thinking of getting a Moke now too after seeing a pic of it. But I think I've been reading that it's a very slow grower and more picky with food. Or maybe a Retro too....but I honestly can't see the difference between it and a Polli.

You have a good representation of the palmas complex. Now its time for a delhezi, or maybe a retro or moke... lol, see how it starts? Then you will be looking at bigger tanks. (Notice tanks plural!)

My moke hid and refused to eat pellets. Beautiful fish but i rehomed it.

Haha...I already have multiple tanks. Currently at 3. Running out of space in the basement lol.

Compared to the Palmas complex, how are the Del, Moke and Retro's typical grow/behavior? My current 3 are not very outgoing either but thankfully they take pellets. They all like hiding in the driftwood (and even sand lol) but would come out to explore here and there when the lights are off. From what I'm reading, it sounds like both Moke and Retro are slow growers. Is there a big possibility that my Palmas bunch will outgrow them quick? And are Del's typically more active than Palmas types?
