55 gallon Tanganyika setup

Hey all,

I want to setup a 55 gallon tanganyika community. I really like daffodils and shellies but I am interested in your opinions on a stock list that can be successful for life in a 55. Thanks

Daffodils can be very aggressive provide plenty of rock work and hiding spaces

get a small school of cyps, lots of cool kinds. get a smaller shellie like the occies or similis or multies. Or some calvus or comps. There is so much you can do with a tang tank

do they usually bother smaller cichlids or just ones of similar size/species?

also, in a 55 is there enough room to have open-waters, cave dwellers, and shellies?

I'd do one of each. So long as open water = Cyprichromis.

Check out the 75 in my signature. Cyps leptosoma Utinta, Paracyp nigripinnis, Gold head comps. (Te callochromis were overkill)

1x neolamprologus mustax
2x neolamprologus brichardi helianthus
1x neolamprologus leleupi
1x neolamprologus brichardi daffodil
4x neolamprologus buescheri f2
2x synodontis eupterus (small-mid sized and I have a larger home for them when needed)

I would love to add some cyprichormis to this tank but it will be a while.

Those are all great fish. I've fallen in love with brichardis and comps. I want them with a colony of shellies and a shoal of cyps I think. I'm a little worried about the cave dwellers eating all my shellies though lol
