55 gallon...what else will fit?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
also, would i be able to get more angelfish? or would that be a bad idea?

so...i moved the angelfish over to the main tank today. all 4 of the angels...one at about an inch and 3 at about 1/2 inch are swimming together and circling the other fish

The extra angels is chancy. They may turn on each other as they get bigger.Move the balas to a bigger tank and make it a nice school of 6 :naughty:
Figure out if the plecos need to go to a bigger tank. There are lots of cool plecs that wont outgrow a 55g
Instead of the cories get 7 botia striata.;)

Keep an eye on the rainbow shark. my experiences have always had the sharks getting really agressive when they get old.

he is very interesting...he went after the platys the first week i had him and they chased him out of the aquarium...i found him about 10 feet away from the tank. he survived his daring escape and is only territorial to the bala's now

I am hoping that the angels do well together. i would like for a breeding pair. i would love to move the balas to a bigger tank...time money and space are the issues...my plan is to upgrade aquariums when I finally buy my own home this summer.

i need to find my camera to get the ID on the plecos, but they are offspring of a pair of plecos in a 20L. those have been in there forever and are still small so i dont think they will outgrow the 55g

i do have 6 mollies that are still in a different tank (g/f wanted them...and im a nice guy...just couldnt say no)

if the fish outgrow i will try to buy a bigger tank...if not, i will try to find them a better home
