55g is a bad footprint for keeping larger cichlids with others, just from personal experience, i kept my GT in a 55g for a year and a bit, and he got so aggressive to the point where he wouldnt let the others leave their caves, and they werent pussy cichlids either (carpintis, freddy). I had to upgrade to a 150g. it was bad to keep them all together i know, but i was still learning about tankspace and territory requirements etc.
This was just to give an example of aggressiveness, but im sure you know already, all fish have a different personality, and when people say that GT's etc are aggressive, its just a generalisation of what their typical behaviour is, so you could get lucky and be able to keep one with sveral other fish.
