^^ great suggestion actually. i think a sev would serve that situation really well i didnt think about that as a possibility

You're stocking idea sounds pretty good. Like they said the ABK can become a little hostile when bigger, but it's not true for all of them. Try it if you want.
If not, I do think the green sev would be a good alternative. Cons and Firemouths can both get nippy as well mine are always chasing each other around the aquarium
