55 stocking

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have both and i have to say i like the 55 better simply because of the length. The 40 is only 36in long even though it is 18 wide you really cant put anythig that grows big in there, thus cancelling out the width.besides 75 gals are in my opinion the best tanks ever made good length and width.

How about this
55 gallon
1x Green Texas
1x Con
1x Spotted Raphael Cat

Maybe some Tiger Barbs knowing that I may lose some...

How do you think I should set this tank up? Gravel color, amount of driftwood/rocks, caves, plants, ect?

Should I just start making 30 threads about this and type with bad grammar to start getting some responses? Just kidding... (Just a bump...)

Seems that way.

Personally I'd just keep the Texas solo in a 55 if that's the maximum you can get. As a juvenile it will seem like there's room for more fish, but when he grows up it's just going to seem crammed and unnatural. I guess you could fit the Raphael Cat in there too if you really want to have another fish.

Do you think that it could work? Could I setup the tank with the stock I listed before with a 35 gallon that I can dump the con into if things turn nastey? I'm not throwing out your advice but I'm just wondering because I already have the con, which is 1", in a 35. The thing is that my parents don't want both tanks set up but if I need to for my pets sake they're not going to say no... plus I have a 10g hospital tank that the con can go in, for a short amount of time, if I need to set the 35 up again...

Thanks
Mike
