55 stocking.

Ok, not good at stocking smaller tanks so need some help. Just set up a 55 for my friends mom. I'm giving her my 4-5" Parrot Cichlid. But, what could I add with it?

I'd do a angel fish, semi active schoolers, bunch of cories and add some plants

No angels with parrots in a 55. Won't be able to stock enough angels to keep them from killing each other. If it weren't for the parrot, that would be a good idea.

With a parrot I would recommend getting another parrot, a bottom crew of cories and some dithers. Would be room for another 4-5" cichlid as long as what you get won't pair up. Maybe a firemouth or a rotkeil severum (the sev only if you only have one parrot, not two)?

Lemon tetras are my favorite schoolers for small to medium fish.
