i use it for my snapper turtle.or you could use is at as herp tank, and buy another tank for fish?
when you can do it yourself for less than 15 bucks. if you need it i can get you a url to a cheap site that i was going to use before my lfs owner told me he could get em dirt cheap.wow thanks.but i bet it would cost more and be a hassle.I have a top plastic brace made for the 55g. It came off of a tank I broke. If you want it, you can have it. Just pay shipping form Texas if it is even worth it to you. Find out how much shipping 2 pounds would be (thats including the box) from 75087 zip code.
wow you pay 150$ for a 55g long.thats nuts man.im going to have to disagree with everyone and say just put a new top frame on. you can get one in the neighborhood of 12-15 dollars. i paid 6 a piece for reframing my 55. cut the frame with a hacksaw in several places....peel the old frame off....clean off the old silicone and silicone the new frame on. all in all less than 45 minutes of work. new 55's are pretty cheap.....but why pay 150 at walmartwhen you can do it yourself for less than 15 bucks. if you need it i can get you a url to a cheap site that i was going to use before my lfs owner told me he could get em dirt cheap.
great deal i would have done that.My lfs out here in Dallas area is selling the 55g. by Oceanic for $95.00 with lid and lights. Needless to say I passed on that and grabbed the Oceanic 125 with overflow for $150.00, used but perfect.
